Where we Stayed: Hotel Granvia

Hotel Granvia, is a historical manor that was built in 1870 and totally renovated in 2013. The hotel offers 53 completely unique rooms, including triples and family rooms. We had the family room. A lobby featuring elegant 19th century styling, a business center with free Internet access, and a splendid garden terrace make the hotel an ideal place for enjoying Barcelona in high season. Strategically located in the heart of Barcelona, just steps away from Plaza Catalunya and the Paseo de Gracia, Hotel Granvia it is surrounded by some of the city’s most emblematic and impressive architectural structures, among them the Pedrera, Casa Batllo, Palau Robert, Casa Fargas, and Casa Ametller. For a more tranquil atmosphere, visit Nova Icaria Beach or Bogatell Beach, where you can unwind and savor the seaside serenity.

Gastronomic Delights:

Barcelona is a paradise for food enthusiasts, with its vibrant culinary scene. Indulge in authentic tapas, fresh seafood, and traditional Catalan dishes like paella and escalivada. Explore the famous La Boqueria Market, where you can sample local produce, spices, and a variety of mouthwatering delicacies. Don't forget to pair your meals with a glass of local cava or sangria for the complete Barcelona dining experience. One of our favorite restaurants in the city was Les Quinze Nits in Placa Reial off Las Ramblas. We both tried the squid ink pasta and let me tell you, it was out of this world.

One of Spain’s best loved dishes……..paella!!
